Macquarie Fortress Notes provide investors with exposure to a leveraged portfolio of US senior secured loans (Senior Loans). Macquarie Fortress Notes are available to purchase on the ASX.
Three separate tranches of Fortress Notes have been issued by Macquarie to date. All Fortress Notes are Ordinary Fortress Notes and trade under ASX code MFNHA.

The Fortress portfolio was refinanced in April 2008. Due to the terms of the new financing (whereby all cashflows must be used to meet interest and principal payments) it is not expected that interest payments be made until the financing is fully repaid. Currently, this is not expected to be within four years.
